WHAT IS CAIPS
NOTE?
For
prospective immigrants to Canada, one of the most Frustrating
Aspects about the process understands where their application
currently stands. Well, one document that can help is your
CAIPS NOTE
CAIPS, which stands for "Computer Assisted Immigration
Processing System". When a immigration application arrives
at the visa office, the immigration officers create a CAIPS
file. It is the CAIPS file number that is printed on an Acknowledgement
of Receipt ('AOR'). The CAIPS file number is normally the
letter "B" followed by 9 digits, e.g. "B
123 456 799".
CAIPS is NOT same
as the " e-Client", which provides limited information
on the status of your application.
CAIPS maintains all information
relevant to your immigration application, including:-
- If immigration officers have started processing your
application
- The status of your case. Assessment Points, required
documents (received or not, valid or invalid, etc)
- Visa officer's comments on your case
- Why Interview is required in your Case
- How the visa officer assessed your qualifications
- If there are any Missing documents
- If there are any problems with the file you submitted
- Medical Assessments Information
